Making Instant Business Cards With Your Office Printer

Business card printing can be done even if you are not a professional. If you are just a regular businessman with a nice office PC and printer, you yourself can make instant business cards. Yes indeed, you just need to know a few things about business card printing and you can create great business cards easily and instantly when emergency strikes. Here are the steps you should know.

• Preparing your business card materials – To create a business card of your own, you must first prepare a few materials. You need to have a nice business card paper stock to print the color business cards on, a cutting tool and good full color inks for your office printer. Once you have these you should have the raw materials necessary to create instant business cards.
  Making the business card layout (2 ways) – Now, to design your business cards, I have two easy ways you can choose from. You can either design your business cards via a software wizard that office software like Microsoft Office Word or OpenOffice.org Writer have, or you can design it via a design template.
  Printing your business card – After producing the design you want, you should then start printing your business cards. From the office or from home, there are two ways to do this.

  A) Home/Office Printer – If you want to really be quick about your business cards, you can print them at your home or office printer. Just place the business card paper stock you acquired earlier and mount them into your printer. Once you print the layout you designed earlier, you should get your first batch of business cards. If you placed several designs side by side in the digital layout, you should be able to print more cards easily. Of course, don't forget to cut them after printing.

  B) Printing professionally – If however you are not good at operating an office printer, you can also try to have you business cards printed by another party. Online printing companies are the easiest to get hold of and you can just send your designs to them for printing via the Internet. Sometimes it only takes overnight before you get the cards via delivery.

  Once those cards are printed, you don't have to worry too much anymore. If you follow these steps you should be done with your cards in less than half a day. So why not print your own business cards at home? It'll be easier for you and cheaper too. Good Luck!

A) Via Software Wizard – Using the software wizard is the easiest method, but it affords you the least customization. You can find the wizard usually for business cards at the Wizard sub-menu in the word processing software. By activating this you will be asked a number of questions about the business card that you want to create. This will range from layout questions to content. Once you finish the wizard, you should then have a working business card layout to work with.

B) Via Design Template – Using a design template gives you the best control over the design without making things too difficult. You can easily download business card templates from design blogs and business card printing websites. Once downloaded, you can use the template in your desktop publishing software to add in your custom content including your name, title etc. etc. There might be a lot more work here, but with the dimensions and settings already configured, you won't have to worry of errors in settings, dimensions and compatibility.
