Non-Functional Factors Associated With Progressive Eyeglasses Online

It is a very individual decision whether or not to buy daily goods or other products online. As more and more children and adults become visual defected, the market of eyewear products is still expanding. Online retailers selling spectacles of different kinds have been serving a considerable percentage of customers. As the Baby Boomer generation enters their 50s and 60s, presbyopia is bothering an increasing number of people in the United States. This makes the use of reading glasses as well as multifocal reading glasses particularly popular. Progressive eyeglasses online as a special type of device come as a good option for the presbyopic. Most people know that progressive reading glasses are superior to bifocal glasses and trifocal spectacles, not to mention traditional single-vision reading glasses. If customers want to get all those benefits possible, they have to purchase progressive glasses from a responsible online retailer.

While making sure a quality pair of progressive lenses by trusting a renowned online seller is the most important task, buying progressive eyeglasses online also involves the considerations of other non-functional factors. One is the price. Due to the complex lens design and manufacturing, progressive eyeglasses are generally more expensive than other forms of reading glasses. Even though online retailers will usually provide a lower average price, a price comparison is still necessary for most customers. After determining a specific type of glasses or a specific brand, people can make a price comparison by browsing different pages at various websites that provide the needed product. In addition, there are actually some well-known price-comparison websites, like RizRate, MySimon and Shopping.com. These helpful sites will provide basic information of some online sellers that are new to a customer.

Other non-functional factors are associated mainly with lens and frame elements. Lens coatings like UV coating and anti-reflective coating can all be applied to progressive eyeglasses online. Available lens materials provided by a large seller include polycarbonate, high-index and regular plastics. And both metal and plastic frames will be offered.

C: Buying progressive eyeglasses online requires the customers to consider both functional and non-functional factors. The latter type includes regular aspects associated with the lenses and the frame.

Functional Heads (Paperback)

Functional Heads (Paperback)

$98.33

Ever since Chomsky`s Barriers, functional heads have been the privileged object of research in generative linguistics. But over the last two decades, two rival approaches have developed. The cartographic project, as represented by the collections in this Oxford series, considers evidence for a functional head in one language as evidence for it in universal grammar. On the other hand, minimalist accounts tend to consider structural economy as literally involving as few heads as possible. In the present volume, some of the most influential linguists who have participated in this long-lasting debate offer their recent work in short, self contained case studies. The contributions cover all the main layers of recently studied syntactic structure, including such major areas of empirical research such as grammaticalization and language change, standard and non-standard varieties, interface issues, and morphosyntax. Functional Heads attempts to map aspects of syntactic structure following the cartographic approach, and in doing so demonstrate that the differences between the cartographic approach and the minimalist approach are more apparent than substantial.

Functional Hemodynamic Monitoring

Functional Hemodynamic Monitoring

$229

Hemodynamic monitoring is one of the major diagnostic tools available in the acute care setting to diagnose cardiovascular insufficiency and monitor changes over time in response to interventions. However, the rationale and efficacy of hemodynamic monitoring to affect outcome has come into question. We now have increasing evidence that outcome from critical illness can be improved by focused resuscitation based on existing hemodynamic monitoring, whereas non-specific aggressive resuscitation impairs survival. Thus, this book frames hemodynamic monitoring into a functional perspective wherein hemodynamic variables and physiology interact to derive performance and physiological reserve estimates that themselves drive treatment. This philosophy, as well as the limitations and applications of common and evolving hemodynamic measures and their focused use in the care of critically ill patients are discussed, relevant to one underlying truth: No monitoring device, no matter how simple or sophisticated, will improve patient-centered outcomes useless coupled to a treatment which, itself, improves outcome.

This volume contains 22 articles on topics of current interest in functional analysis, operator theory and related areas. Some of the papers have connections with complex function theory in one and several variables, probability theory and mathematical physics. Surveys of some areas of recent progress in functional analysis are given and related new results are presented. The topics covered in this volume supplement the discussion of modern functional analysis in the previous Proceedings volumes. Together with the previous volumes, the reader obtains a good impression of many aspects of present-day functional analysis and its applications. Parts of this volume can be used profitably in advanced seminars and courses in functional analysis.

Functional Grammar

Functional Grammar

$158

Every grammar has to a greater or lesser extent a functional aspect. In this book, Bondarko provides a comprehensive discourse on the theoretical foundations of grammar, concentrating on functional-semantic fields, with emphasis on the diversity of their structural types. Criteria for distinguishing between linguistically structured meaning and non-linguistic cognitive content is developed in a discussion on the Category of Aspect and its Environment which includes an analysis of aspectual opposition according to the Prague School. Special attention is also paid to analysing polycentric fields and, specifically, taxis in the Russian language. The book is divided into three sections: Functional Grammar: Subject Matter and Goals Structural Types of Functional-Semantic Fields Categorial Situations. This book is intended for those interested in the general theory of linguistics.

Functional Materials

Functional Materials

$150

Functional Materials have assumed a very prominent position in several high tech areas.  Such materials are not being classified on the basis of their origin, nature of bonding or processing techniques but are classified on the basis of the functions which they can perform.  This is a significant departure from the earlier schemes in which materials were described as metals, alloys, ceramics, polymers, glass materials etc. Several new processing techniques have also evolved in the recent past. Because of the diversity of materials and their functions it has become extremely difficult to obtain information from single source. Functional Materials: Preparation, Processing and Applications  provides a comprehensive review of the latest developments. Serves as a ready reference for Chemistry, Physics and Materials Science researchers by covering a wide range of functional materials in one book Aids in the design of new materials by emphasizing structure or microstructure property correlation Covers the processing of functional materials in detail which helps in conceptualizing the applications of them

Functional Renormalization and Ultracold Quantum Gases

Functional Renormalization and Ultracold Quantum Gases

$129

Modern techniques from quantum field theory are applied in this work to the description of ultracold quantum gases. This leads to a unified description of many phenomena including superfluidity for bosons and fermions, classical and quantum phase transitions, different dimensions, thermodynamic properties and few-body phenomena as bound state formation or the Efimov effect. The non-perturbative treatment with renormalization group flow equations can account for all known limiting cases by solving one single equation. It improves previous results quantitatively and brings qualitatively new insights. As an example, new quantum phase transitions are found for fermions with three spin states. Ultracold atomic gases can be seen as an interesting model for features of high energy physics and for condensed matter theory. The research reported in this thesis helps to solve the difficult complexity problem in modern theoretical physics.

Functional Descriptions

Functional Descriptions

$195

This volume focuses on the relation between theory and description by examining aspects of transitivity in different languages. Transitivity — or case grammar, to use the popular term — has always occupied a centre-stage position in linguistics, not least because of its supposedly privileged relation to states of affairs in the real world. Using a systemic functional perspective, the ten papers in this volume make a contribution to this scholarship by focusing on the transitivity patterns in language as the expression of the experiential metafunction. Through a study of different languages — English, Dutch, German, Finnish, Chinese and Pitjantjatjara — the contributors provide functional descriptions of the various categories of process, their participants and circumstances, including phenomena such as di-transitivity, causativity, the get-passive, etc. With the relation between theories and descriptions running through the ten chapters of this volume as sometimes an overt and sometimes a covert theme, the chapters point to the nature of the linguistic fact which is linked ineluctably on the one hand to the nature of the theory and on the other to the speakers’ experience of the world in which they live. The majority of papers included in the volume derive from the 19th International Systemic Functional Congress at Macquarie University.

Functional Identities

Functional Identities

$49.95

The theory of functional identities (FIs) is a relatively new one - the first results were published at the beginning of the 1990s, and this is the first book on this subject. An FI can be informally described as an identical relation involving arbitrary elements in an associative ring together with arbitrary (unknown) functions. The goal of the general FI theory is to describe these functions, or, when this is not possible, to describe the structure of the ring admitting the FI in question. This abstract theory has turned out to be a powerful tool for solving a variety of problems in ring theory, Lie algebras, Jordan algebras, linear algebra, and operator theory. The book is divided into three parts. Part I is an introductory one. Part II is the core of the book. It gives a full account of the general FI theory, which is based on the concept of a d-free set; various constructions and concrete examples of d-free sets are given, and FIa (TM)s on d-free sets are thoroughly studied. Part III deals with applications. Its main purpose is to demonstrate how one can find FIa (TM)s when considering different problems, and then effectively use the general theory exposed in Part II. Perhaps the most illuminating example of the applicability are solutions of long-standing Hersteina (TM)s conjectures on Lie homomorphisms and Lie derivations - in the proofs practically the entire FI theory is used.

Near-Capacity Multi-Functional MIMO Systems

Near-Capacity Multi-Functional MIMO Systems

$200

Providing an all-encompassing self-contained treatment of  Near-Capacity Multi-Functional MIMO Systems , the book starts by categorizing the family of Multiple-Input Multiple-Output (MIMO) schemes as diversity techniques, multiplexing schemes, multiple access arrangements and beam-forming techniques. Sophisticated coherent and low-complexity non-coherent MIMO receivers dispensing with channel estimation are considered in both classic and cooperation-aided scenarios. It is demonstrated that in the presence of correlated shadow-fading, cooperation-assisted systems may be expected to outperform their non-cooperative counterparts. The book contains a 100-page chapter on the unified treatment of all block codes in the context of high-flexibility, cutting-edge irregular Linear Dispersion Codes (LDC), which approach the MIMO-capacity. The majority of the book’s solutions are in the optimum sphere-packing frame-work. Sophisticated amalgam of five year’s near-capacity MIMO research Detailed examination of wireless landscape, including the fields of channel coding, spacetime coding and turbo detection techniques Novel tool of Extrinsic Information Transfer Charts (EXIT) used to address recent developments Material presented logically, allowing advanced readers to turn directly to any specific chapter of interest One of the only books to cover these subjects, giving equal weighting to each

Non-finite Complementation

Non-finite Complementation

$121.8

This book presents a comprehensive guide to the way speakers of British English use infinitive and – ing clauses as verbal complements. It contains details of the non-finite complementation patterns of over 300 matrix verbs, with a particular emphasis on verbs that occur with more than one type of non-finite complement. Drawing upon data from the British National Corpus, the author shows that some of the views which are to be found in the existing literature on these sorts of clauses are in conflict with the evidence of actual usage. He also shows that there is actually much more regularity in this area than has often been taken to be the case. Moreover, this regularity is shown to be motivated by cognitive-functional factors. An appendix contains details of the relative frequency of all of the constructions dealt with in the study, together with an example of each of them. The book is of interest to language teachers as well as linguists, both theoretical and applied.

The Rise of Functional Categories

The Rise of Functional Categories

$158

In recent years, word order has come to be seen, within a Government Binding/Minimalist framework, as determined by functional as well as lexical categories. Within this framework, functional categories are often seen as present in every language without evidence being available in that language. This book contains arguments that even though Universal Grammar makes functional categories available, the language learner must decide whether or not to incorporate them in his or her grammar. For instance, it is shown that English has one (not two as often assumed) functional category between the complementizer and the Negation, but that languages such as Dutch, Swedish, German and Old and Middle English have none. The title of the book can be seen in terms of the direction current research is taking; it can also be seen in terms of the changes that have taken place in English.
