Options for laser eye treatment

Lasik is still a very popular procedure, but for those people who are not good candidates, they could look to this or even another procedure. Waveform is a relatively new surgery that is yet another customizable laser eye a treatment. It is very close to the original Lasik, but it differs because it uses a 3 D mapping technology to guide the surgeon as they shape the eye. It reduces post surgery problems such as glare and vision with halos and it is known for its extreme ability to adapt to each patient.

 

A discussion of the options of laser eye surgery would not be complete without mentioning the Epi-Lasik procedure. If there is a pathological addition like dry eyes, this is a procedure to consider. It does not use a tiny blade like the original Lasik laser eye treatment and many people find it to have a better recovery period than other types of laser eye treatment.

 

Laser eye treatments do not advance in a vacuum. They continue to progress and there will give more patients more options as they look at corrective laser eye surgery.
